How to apply?

The AMRC is cooperating with a number of international partner institutions in implementing joint doctorates with top research groups abroad. Currently, we are currently developing co-tutelle agreements with Lorraine, Lviv, Cergy-Pontoise, Monash, Bangalore, INSA-Lyon, Grenoble, Leipzig, Yerevan, and Warwick.

If you are interested in applying from one of these institutions or in the set-up of a new co-tutelle partnership, please consider the following application procedures and entry requirements to become a doctoral student at Coventry University.

You are advised to visit the following link: http://www.coventry.ac.uk/research/ to view the university research expertise and details of the application process.  In order to process your application would you please send the following supporting documents to research-apps.pg@coventry.ac.uk.

  • Your completed application form (RD03 form)
  •  
  • Your research proposal
  •  
  • Proof of academic certificates and transcripts (Master or undergraduate degree should be at least a Merit or 60% average 2:1 or above)
  •  
  • Proof of English qualifications  minimum 7.0 IELTS score with a minimum of 6.5 in each component or TOEFL 100 (Internet based) unless taught in the medium of English
  •  
  • A copy of the personal details page from your passport to confirm your full and correct name and date of birth.  We will then ensure that any offer letters issued to you correspond with your passport name, this will assist you when applying for a student visa
  •  
  • Proof of funding i.e. a sponsorship letter
  •  
  • Two academic references from your last institution of study (RD04 form)
